Hampas tebu – Gironera nervosa Planch.

Evergreen trees, bark fibrous. Terminal buds and stipules less than 35 mm long. Stipules intrapetiolar, sheathing falling and leaving a circular scar. Flowers unisexual on the same tree. Fruit a drupe, orange-red when mature crowned by persistent calyx and 2 styles.

Habitat and ecology

Common in lowland primary and secondary evergreen forest.

Indonesia (Kalimantan), Thailand, Laos ((Bolikhamxai, Khammouan).
